2025.03.03
On March 2nd, Coupang, a South Korean e-commerce platform, announced that it will invest KRW 193 billion to establish a state-of-the-art AI (Artificial Intelligence) logistics center in Gimhae, Gyeongnam and begin operations. This investment will not only expand Coupang's logistics network in South Korea, but also promote economic development in the Gyeongnam region and create a large number of job opportunities.
The Jinhai Intelligent Logistics Center will be located in the Antong area of Jinhai City, Qingnan. The center will achieve a "one-stop" operation from inventory management to final distribution, relying on AI technology to predict consumer order demand, quickly store hot selling products, and ensure that orders can be shipped quickly.

Coupang plans to first establish early morning delivery services for daily necessities and other goods at the logistics center, and is expected to be officially put into use in the first half of this year. Meanwhile, Coupang also plans to add low-temperature freezing and refrigeration facilities within this year, and is expected to provide early morning delivery services for fresh produce starting next year.
It is worth mentioning that through this investment, Coupang will significantly expand its rocket delivery range in the Gyeongnam region, especially providing early morning delivery services to the southernmost areas of South Korea such as Juji and Tongying, as well as islands and remote mountainous areas in Gyeongnam Province.
