On March 13th, the 2025 "Silk Road Shipping" Annual Conference hosted by Fujian Port Group was held in Putian, Fujian. At the meeting, 10 important participants of the "the Belt and Road" involving shipping, energy, manufacturing, Internet and other aspects officially joined the "Silk Road Maritime Transport" alliance. So far, the members of the Silk Road Shipping Alliance have reached 353.

The Silk Road Maritime Transport Alliance aims to promote "consultation, co construction, and sharing", with members covering various industries such as ports, shipping, logistics, trade, finance, technology, universities, and research institutions both domestically and internationally. In the past year, "Silk Road Shipping" has deepened its route network, innovated its business ecosystem, strengthened digital empowerment, and deepened international cooperation. The development of various work has been comprehensively accelerated, and new quality productivity such as intelligent containers and ship weather navigation has continued to support it. Its brand influence has been continuously enhanced. At present, the "Silk Road Shipping" routes have reached 132, originating from 12 ports at home and abroad, and reaching 145 ports in 46 countries. As of February 28, 2025, the "Silk Road Shipping" named container route has operated over 18000 ships and completed a container throughput of over 21 million TEUs. The "Silk Road Shipping" bulk cargo route has completed a cargo throughput of over 20 million tons and a trade volume of approximately 19.5 billion yuan. During the event, 10 dock companies won the 'Silk Road Shipping' route quality service award. At the same time, the "2024 'Silk Road Maritime Transport' Trade Report" was also released at the meeting, which analyzed in detail the current international trade situation and future opportunities. The integrated development of 'Silk Road Maritime Transport' ports and air trade continues to deepen and solidify.
